Upcoming Events for December 12th-16th

Learning Objectives

  • Reading: We will work on summarizing narrative stories. Students will practice this skill aided by a graphic organizer. They will give an oral summary to a partner.
  • Writing: We will write fictional stories about a snowy day. We are working on writing sentences with capital letters, spaces between words, and ending marks. I encourage students to be fearless spellers. This means they sound out unknown words or look to the Word Wall for assistance.
  • Math: We will complete our unit on place value. Students should be able to look at groups of tens and ones and determine the number. We will be adding tens and ones.
  • Social Studies:We will learn about different holidays including Hanukkah, Ramadan, Christmas, and Kwanzaa.
  • Character:  Using the Wheel of Choice to help find solutions

1.) Math Place Value Worksheet
2.) Expand the Sentences Writing sheet
3.) Practice sight words

OPTIONAL: Math Workbook pages (any of Unit 4 that have not been completed)
