Spelling City Resource

Hi Parents,

We are off to a fantastic first FULL week of 1st grade. As you and your child review their spelling words you may wish to try out the link to Spelling City under the Reading Resources tab. It is a great website where the students can play games, hear their spelling words in sentences, and even take practice spelling tests. I showed the students the website today and they we VERY excited about it. I uploaded our list for the week of August 11. If you click the list you will be directed to the activities.

Thank you!

PS- Several students are having difficulties tying their shoes. If your little one struggles with this please practice at home. It is taking away from some of our instructional time.

Open House

Hi parents! Thank you so much for coming to RBES's Open House. It was wonderful to meet your little Rockets and I look forward to working with you and your child this year. I know there was a lot of paperwork sent home. Please take your time reading over it.

The yellow Daily Folder should come to school with your child on Wednesday. I will check the Daily Folder in order to get the additional student information pages. Every day we will use the Daily Folder to go from school to home in order to communicate homework, classwork/graded work, and school forms.

Also, over the next few weeks you will find more information on the blog such as a description of each week's homework.

Thank you and have a great night!
