MAP Assessments will occur after the holidays.  Our class will take the MAP Reading assessment Tuesday, December 2 from 1:15-2:15.  We will take the MAP Math assessment Friday, December 5 from 8-9:30.  Please make sure that your child is well rested and eats a good breakfast!

*The students may feel more comfortable with the MAP if they have some practice answering questions on a computer. Below is a link to some MAP practice websites!

Please remember that our library day is on Fridays.  Please remember to put your child's library book in his/her bookbag so that they can enjoy another book!

2.  Read the Harriet Tubman passage and answer the questions about the text.  Make sure that you underline or highlight your evidence in the passage to support your answer selection.

Reading Symbaloo

There is a new link attached on the right side of the webpage. It is called Reading Symbaloo. The link connects you to many 1st grade friendly online books. The students go on this website as part of our Daily 5: Listen to Reading. The students love it so much and would probably enjoy going on at home as well.

 Please bring in canned goods for RBES's Can-a-thon that runs Nov. 3- 14! The class that collects the most cans will receive the "Golden Can" trophy! I know our first graders are very excited about this :)
