RBES- State School of Character

RBES has been named a Georgia School of Character!  We are the only Georgia school to be designated a State School of Character this year.  For information about what that means and the principles this designation is based on, go to https://character.org/conference/character2015-forum/

All schools named State Schools of Character across the country will be visited by a team to determine which schools will be named National Schools of Character.  The national visiting team will come to RBES March 5th.  Schools earning the national distinction will be named May 8th.

Thank you to all students and parents for supporting the ROCKETS' Way and for helping us with our goal of helping students develop intrinsic motivation!  We want our students to learn to do the right thing because it's the right thing to do whether or not anyone is watching.  We want them to set goals for themselves and to learn persistence to help them meet those goals.  Our teachers have spent the last few years studying character and moral development research, and we believe in the principles exemplified in National Schools of Character.  We are honored to be a 2015 State School of Character, and we appreciate the ongoing community support!
