Learning Objectives
- Reading: The students will identify characters, settings, and important events in the story. The students will make predictions before and during the reading.
- Writing: Students will engage in opinion writing. They will choose an opinion writing topic. (Ex. best sport, favorite subject in school, Should students have homework?, etc.) Students will give reasons and examples to support their opinion. We will continue to work on writing sentences with capital letters, spaces between words, and ending marks. We are also working on writing "juicy" sentences with adjectives, metaphors, and quotation marks.
- Math: Students will use what they know about graphs to create a measurement table, they will learn about comparing and roating shapes, how to combine shapes to make new shapes, congruence, and solid (3-D) shapes.
- Social Studies: Celebrating Dr. Seuss
- Character: Zones of Regulation (The Zones of Regulation is a program designed to help students gain skills in consciously regulating their emotions and actions.) We will hold class meetings and work on finding positive and logical solutions to common classroom problems.

- Thursday 3/9, I Can Read with My Eyes Shut---Bring your favorite Dr. Seuss book from home that you can read with a friend.
