Here’s a Sneak Peek at Next Week:
Learning Objectives
- Reading: We will be reading fictional stories and identifying story elements (characters, setting, plot, problem, solution).
- Writing: We will write fictional stories about what happens when we make too many wishes. We are working on writing sentences with capital letters, spaces between words, and ending marks. I encourage students to be fearless spellers. This means they sound out unknown words or look to the Word Wall for assistance.
- Math: We will finish Unit 3. There will be a Unit 3 assessment. We will begin discussing place value. Students will learn about tens and ones within numbers, how to add ten, and how teen numbers are made up of 1 ten and extra ones.
- Science: Students will learn about matter. They will investigate to understand how common materials interact with water. Key concepts include how some liquids mix, things dissolve, and others separate.
- Character: Anti-Bullying lessons
1.) Math Homework: Any workbook pages remaining in Unit 3

3.) Review sight words
