Learning Objectives
- Reading: We will work on summarizing narrative stories. Students will practice this skill aided by a graphic organizer. They will give an oral summary to a partner.
- Writing: We will write fictional stories about a snowy day. We are working on writing sentences with capital letters, spaces between words, and ending marks. I encourage students to be fearless spellers. This means they sound out unknown words or look to the Word Wall for assistance.
- Math: We will continue learning about place value. Students should be able to look at groups of tens and ones and determine the number. We will be adding tens and ones.
- Social Studies:We will begin a unit on past, present, and future.
