Upcoming Events for February 20th-24th

Learning Objectives

  • Reading: The students will practice making predictions before and during the reading. They will give evidence to support their predictions. Students will evaluate their predictions to see if they were right or wrong.
  • Writing: Students will engage in opinion writing. They will write about which school lunch would be the best. Students will give reasons and examples to support their opinion.   We will continue to work on writing sentences with capital letters, spaces between words, and ending marks. We are also working on writing "juicy" sentences with adjectives, metaphors, and quotation marks.
  • Math: Students will create and use graphs to compare data. Students will be able to explain which has the most, the least, and how many in all. Students will compare how many more or fewer a certain item has compared to another.

We will discuss how where you live affects the clothes you war, the animals you see, and the land around you. We will focus on farmland, polar regions, rain forests, islands, and deserts.
