Learning Objectives
- Reading: We will practice reading informational texts and answering questions. Students will learn how to use context clues as a strategy to find the answers in the passages.
- Writing: We will write stories about something that has happened in our life. Students' stories will include a beginning, middle, and end. Students will describe how they felt during each part of their story. We will continue to work on writing sentences with capital letters, spaces between words, and ending marks.
- Math: We will continue Unit 5 which focuses on money. Students will be identifying coins and their value along with counting groups of coins.
- Social Studies: We will discuss Martin Luther King Jr. and why he is an American hero.
- Character: Zones of Regulation (The Zones of Regulation is a program designed to help students gain skills in consciously regulating their emotions and actions.)
