Learning Objectives
- Reading: The students will practice answering the following questions during and after the reading: "Who?", "What?", "Where?", "When?", "Why?", and "How?"
- Writing: We will write about our favorite place. Students will be taught to use adjectives to make their writing more descriptive. We will continue to work on writing sentences with capital letters, spaces between words, and ending marks. We are also working on writing "juicy" sentences with adjectives and metaphors.
- Math: We will week in math we will be finishing up our money and story problem unit. We will take our Unit 5 assessment
- Science: This week we will continue our on weather.
- Character: Zones of Regulation (The Zones of Regulation is a program designed to help students gain skills in consciously regulating their emotions and actions.)

Valentine’s Day Party
On Wednesday, February 14th, we will be having a Valentine’s Day Celebration from 1:30-2:30 PM. A class list will be sent home in students' Daily Folders. I would like for the students to “address” their Valentine’s themselves. (Students will be making a Valentine’s carrying bag at school. You do not need to prepare a Valentine’s Day box.)
