Learning Objectives
- Reading: We will be reading fictional stories and identifying story elements (characters, setting, plot, problem, solution). We will also read nonfiction texts to learn about the first Thanksgiving.
- Writing: We will write fictional stories about how to stuff a turkey. We are working on writing sentences with capital letters, spaces between words, and ending marks. I encourage students to be fearless spellers. This means they sound out unknown words or look to the Word Wall for assistance.
- Math: We will continue discussing place value. Students will learn about tens and ones within numbers, how to add ten, and how teen numbers are made up of 1 ten and extra ones.
- Social Studies: Students will learn about the first Thanksgiving.
- Character: Anti-Bullying lessons
