                                 It's Secret Santa Time!
If you would like to help with this year's Secret Santa, please use this Secret Santa Survey Link to complete a short survey.  Mrs. Porter will contact you about how you would like to help.
You can help by:
  • Purchasing a specific gift or gifts from a child's wish list (anywhere from $10 - $200).
  • Making a financial contribution to Secret Santa.
  • Volunteering your time to organize the Secret Santa boxes and items.
  • Volunteering your time to shop with donated money.
  • Volunteering your time to write follow-up thank you notes.

The Growing Mound of Lost and Found
As we've had cooler and wetter weather, we've started seeing the Lost and Found Moundgrowing again.  Please ask your child to look through Lost and Found for any lost items.  If you are planning to join us for Thanksgiving Lunch, please take the time to look through Lost and Found while you are here. It will be organized to help you look so you don't have to search The Mound!

Also, please help by putting your child's name in all jackets, sweatshirts, or sweaters that he/she wears to school. (lunchboxes and water bottles, too)  We really do look for names and will return them to your child IF the item has a name in it.  Any items still in Lost and Found on Thursday, November 26 will be washed and donated.  Items in good condition are sold at a consignment store and the proceeds go to RBES Secret Santa or counseling needs that arise throughout the school year.

At Rocky Branch our focus is on finding solutions to our problems. We have been learning some techniques ( Ignore it, talk it over respectfully with the person, try to agree on a win-win solution or get help from the teacher) We are working to be problem solvers by using the wheel of choice that we created as a class and to share our thoughts with each other during class meetings. We have created bonds by sharing strategies that have worked in the past. :)

                     CAN-A-THON at RBES

We are now beginning our can-a-thon at RBES! We will help feed the families in need in Oconee. Last year as a school we brought in 3,100 cans and our goal this year is to bring in 3,500. Thank you for helping out as you can! We look forward to reaching our school goal! :)  Thank  you for helping us reach and PASS our class goal!!

Please have your child participate in the Six Flags Read to Succeed Program by reading and recording 6 hours of reading.  Once they have completed and documented their reading, please have them return the completed form to me.  The deadline to submit your reading log is Friday, February 19.  Please let me know if you have any questions.  You can print out the forms below by clicking on the link.
