Please join the RBES team at the Oconee County Relay for Life this Friday, May 1. Relay for Life will be held on the NOHS football field. The team lap is at 7 pm. From 7:30-9, the RBES tent will have three activities children can participate in for $3. They will be making slime, experimenting with the Van de Graff generator, and making a kazoo. Come help RBES as we know it might take some "WEIRD" Science to Cure Cancer!!

We will take our MAP Reading assessment on Friday, May 1st from 1:15-2:25. Please make sure your child is rested and ready to show what they know. A little morning pep talk with your child about taking their time and doing their best is much appreciated!!
Relay for Life will be on Friday, May 1st.

FIELD TRIP PERMISSION SLIPS AND MONEY DUE ASAP!
The first graders will be taking a field trip to Memorial Park on Tuesday, 5/12. We will enjoy a tour around Bear Hollow Zoo to see Georgia’s native wildlife and a picnic lunch at the park. If you haven't already, please sign the permission form and return it back to me as soon as possible. The cost of the field trip is $8.00 per child. This covers transportation and zoo admission. Please send your child's money to school in an envelope that is marked with their name, my name, and the reason for the money (Field Trip) along with their permission slip. If you need to write a check, please write it out to RBES. Thank you!!

The first graders are going to tie dye t-shirts to wear on field day and the last day of school. We are asking that your child bring a plain white t-shirt to school by Friday, April 24th. Our class will need 4 bottles of the following: navy blue, green, and yellow. Please let me know if you are able to donate any of the following bottles of dye.
